Yellow Watermelon, You’re Confusing My Taste Buds

I’ve seen yellow watermelons before, but never thought about trying them because watermelon isn’t really my thing.

But this guy I like recently told me watermelon is his favorite, so I felt I had to give this yellow variation a shot.

I diced up the fruit and put it in a glass container. It had a milder flavor compared to the regular red ones, and it tasted more like cantaloupe than watermelon!

Maybe it was my eyes playing tricks on me because it was orangish?

Later that day, I decided to give it another go. This time, with my eyes closed. And guess what? Without the visual distractions, it actually tasted like watermelon!

But as soon as I opened my eyes and took another bite, it tasted like cantaloupe again.

This is mind-boggling!
